With more than two decades of flooring design experience on both sides of the North American continent, Jeanette Himes brings with her a lifelong love of global textiles and handicrafts. She started her career at Mohawk as a custom designer, and after gaining additional experience within the industry in California, she returned as a director of design in 2018. Jeanette is fascinated by the language of design and how it can make the world a better place in big and small ways. She has a passion for exploring the intersection between aesthetics, history, commerce and psychology. Her designs have been honored with Best of NeoCon Gold and Silver awards, and her latest work with Mohawk Group includes the award-winning Textural Effects broadloom and plank collection, the Relaxing Floors collaboration with 13&9, Owls with Jason F. McLennan, and Nutopia 2.0. Jeanette holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in fiber art from the Savannah College of Art & Design and is an active member of the International Interior Design Association.
